Rail travellers between Nantwich and Crewe were delayed today after an accident at Willaston level crossing. Police had to close the rail line temporarily after the accident involving a lorry at the crossing at around 4pm on November 2.

Police crackdown on anti-social youths in Willaston

Nantwich Police are stepping up patrols in Willaston following complaints of anti-social behaviour in the village. Residents have complained of late night noise and nuisance, particularly in the village park area. Last weekend, a “for sale” sign on a bungalow in Cheerbrook Road was broken up and stuck in a grid in the road.

New sign for Willaston street after bin problems

New street signs are to be erected at a Willaston cul-de-sac after residents’ complained their bins were not being collected. The new signs will go up for The Fields, off Cheerbrook Road, Willaston, in the next few weeks, Cheshire East Council has confirmed. Cllr Brian Silvester (pictured), who represents Willaston and Rope, welcomed the news.
