Nantwich Town’s home game against Rushall Olympic has been put back a week due to the Pics’ involvement in the semi-finals of the Doodson Sports Trophy.

The match will now take place at the Weaver Stadium on Tuesday March 27, kick off 7.45pm.

The postponed match at Stocksbridge Park Steels has been re-scheduled for Tuesday April 17.

Weaver Stadium is also hosting the FA Women’s Premier Reserve League Cup Final between Arsenal and Everton.

The club was pleased to host the game two years ago, involving the same teams.

Chairman Jon Gold said: “This is the second occasion we’ve hosted the final and look forward to welcoming supporters of the women’s game to the Weaver Stadium.  It’s a prestigious game and we are delighted to have been chosen again.”

The match will be played on Sunday March 11, midday kick off. Entry is freehere is free entry to this game for everyone.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Quinn has released Nantwich defender Aleksandrs Solovjovs. The 24-year-old Latvian made a promising start early in the season.

But a frustrating period came to a head three weeks ago when he was sent off against Chasetown for a reckless challenge when he was already on a yellow card.
