New Nantwich Town signing Si Everall believes he is the man to fire on all cylinders in The Dabbers promotion push.

Everall, 22, says he is ready to take responsibility and lead Jimmy Quinn’s forward line.

Speaking of his move from Stafford Rangers, he said: “I am absolutely buzzing to join up with Nantwich again.

“It’s been coming for a while as I’ve got a good relationship with Martin (Stubbs) and Jimmy.

“I just felt I needed to get away and prove myself at this level, something I feel I have done.”

The former Crewe FC man was quick to add that he was thankful for all the support he had at Stafford and was grateful for the opportunity to learn there.

“I think Stafford really helped me,” he added.

“Playing up front on my own in a 5-4-1 at Stafford meant I had to take responsibility and I couldn’t pass the buck.

“I worked on my finishing a lot in my time there and I feel I have come back a better finisher who can take more chances.”

Everall linked up with his team-mates on Tuesday night before the FA Trophy penalty defeat to AFC Fylde.

And although The Dabbers lost out on spot-kicks, fans’ favourite Everall believes Nantwich can be promoted from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division.

“I thought to myself during the first-half on Tuesday that I’ve not seen two better sides in this division.

“I saw how the lads played and the likes of Sean Cooke, Caspar Hughes and Lewis Short were putting lovely through balls in behind which I’d love to get on the end of.”
