Peckforton Castle near Nantwich has been shortlisted for Business of the Year at the Cheshire Business Awards 2013.

The venue has already had a successful 12 months receiving a string of accolades.

It earned its 3rd AA Rosette, won Hotel of the Year at the Marketing Cheshire Awards, and was Highly Commended in the Large Hotel of the Year category at the national VisitEngland Awards.

This latest nomination sees Peckforton face two other businesses competing for the coveted award in the large business category, which employs over 50 or more staff.

There are 11 awards up for grabs at the 10th Trinity Business Cheshire Awards, and categories range for businesses whatever the size of trade.

One of the judges Kaye Whitby, partner at the law firm SAS Daniels, said: “The standard of entries this year was extremely high.

“It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in the judging process and reinforce the excellent businesses and opportunities that exist in Cheshire.”

Peckforton Castle will be judged on its all round business excellence, financial performance, business strategy and sound future plans.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony hosted by Lucy Meacock on Friday October 4 at Chester Racecourse.
