plays - Nantwich Players Theatre - The Witches

By Claire Faulkner
It’s rare a performance by one actor can draw me into a production and leave me spellbound.

Simon Porter’s portrayal of ‘Willy Loman’ at The Nantwich Players latest production, ‘Death of A Salesman’, did just this.

He was quite simply stunning as the travelling salesman who is slowly starting to lose his mind, career and family.

Directed by Jerry Park, this production is a must see for any Arthur Miller fans.

The cast worked incredibly well together, each one of them giving strong and emotional performances.

Linda Evans played ‘Linda Loman’, the hardworking wife and mother who is desperately trying to keep her family together.

Charlie Gobbett played ‘Biff’, the Lomans’ eldest son and Ryan Bearpark was brilliantly cast as ‘Hap’.

I’m never disappointed when I visit The Players Theatre in Nantwich.

This must be one of the best productions I have seen there, and I just wonder how they can possibly produce anything better than this.

If you’re quick, you might still be able to get a ticket, I do urge you to.

‘Death of A Salesman’ runs until May 31, show starts at 7.45pm

Tickets are on sale at Nantwich Civic Hall (01270 600727)
