The Halloween and Fireworks season is set to descend on South Cheshire.

And the Nantwich Spooktacular will kick it off this weekend with one of the biggest events of its kind in the North West.

The Spooktacular is again being staged at Dorfold Park, home of the Nantwich Show, and will include a Halloween themed firework display organised by Crewe-based Blitz Fireworks.

It takes place this Saturday October 25. Gates open at 5pm, fireworks at 8pm.

Advance ticket prices child £5, adult £7. On the gate, child £7, adult £9.

On Friday October 31, Hack Green Howling takes place at the Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, off Coole Lane,

This scare-fest event runs from 8pm to 1am and is for Over 18s only. Tickets cost £20.

On the same night,  Sydney Arms Halloween and Bonfire Party is held in Crewe. Gates open at 5.30pm, fireworks at 8pm. Child £2.50, Adults £4.

Wistaston Community Council Fireworks Display takes place at 6.30pm on Saturday November 1 at the Eric Swan Sports Ground behind Wistaston Church Lane Primary School.

Entry is by donation and any profits will go to a charity.

Also on November 1 is Betley Bonfire at Betley Court Farm, on Main Road, Betley. Gates open at 4pm, bonfire lit at 6pm, fireworks at 7.30pm. Children £3, Adults £7.

And the Monster Mash Ball will be held on November 1 at Nantwich Civic Hall, featuring live music and fancy dress party.  Doors open at 7.30pm for 8pm start, entrance is £10.

On Wednesday November 5, Crewe & Nantwich Lions Club Bonfire & Firework Spectacular takes place at Queens Park in Crewe.

Gates open at 5pm, entrance is £5.

On Saturday November 8, Audlem Bonfire & Fireworks Display will take place on Audlem Playing Field, off Cheshire Street.

Gates open at 4pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm, fireworks at 7pm. Entrance is £5.
