Midnight Walk St Luke's Hospice 5

Hundreds of big-hearted women donned bright colours and strolled through the night on the St Luke’s Hospice Midnight Walk.

Ladies of all ages and background gathered together to take part in the annual event which helps raise thousands for charity.

They gathered at the start at Reaseheath College in Nantwich and set off at around 9.30pm on Saturday (July 2).

They strolled through Nantwich town centre, laughing and joking with night-time revellers, before heading out of town towards Crewe.

The Midnight Walk is our biggest annual event and is now in it’s 12th year.

Participants chose either the full moon walk at 13.1 miles or the half moon at 6.5 miles.

Live entertainment was on hand on a stage at the start to fire up the walkers.

And more than 160 stewards lined the route to keep the ladies on track and provide refreshments and toilet breaks.

Those who completed the full moon walk returned to Reaseheath in time for breakfast with French pastries and hot coffee or tea.

The theme was neon, with many walkers dressing up in neon pink, green and yellow colours.
