Nantwich woman Lynn McGill has been re-appointed as chairman of East Cheshire NHS Trust.

Lynn, who lives in Aston Juxta Mondrum near Nantwich, will serve the post for another four years.

The trust runs Macclesfield, Congleton and Knutsford hospitals and community healthcare services.

Lynn has been chair of the trust since November 2010 and has served as a non-executive director from 2003.

As chairman, she has led the trust through major changes, including awarding of contracts to run sexual health services across Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester local authority footprints.

The trust has also achieved high scores for patient safety and won awards, including named one of CHKS’s top 40 hospital operators six times in a row.

She said: “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to serve as chairman of the trust for a further four years.

“During the last six years I have seen many innovative developments at the trust.

“The integrated respiratory team, now a valued team of experts, our local Frailty Service has also become a recognised model of good practice, and integrated community and hospital-based NIMO (Neighbourhood Integrated Medicines Optimisation) team is supporting patients at home and in the community.

“I am committed to ensuring the trust continues to deliver high-quality healthcare to the local population and to work closely with partners in the Caring Together programme.”

Lynn also serves as chairman of the trust’s Remuneration Committee, is a trustee of its Charitable Funds Committee and is a friend of East Cheshire Hospice.
