A specialist carer from Nantwich has been shortlisted for a prestigious North West award.

Care village experience coordinator Sharon Bull, 50, has been shortlisted in the coveted “Care Home Activity Organiser” category in the Great North West Care Awards.

The honours aim to pay tribute to individuals who have demonstrated excellence within their field of work.

Sharon is a highly regarded care professional who has grown in commitment and passion over her 30 years in the sector.

She has spent seven years at Belong Crewe on Brookhouse Drive where she has worked since the village opened.

As experience coordinator, she goes the extra mile for customers.

Sharon organises and inspires residents to take part in initiatives such as regular dementia-friendly swimming sessions, singing and activities with local schools.

She caters for all stages of life, and recently started the ‘Namaste programme’ at Belong Crewe, providing sensory stimulation for
people with dementia or at the end of their life.

Belong Crewe General Manager Phil Caine, said: “We are delighted that Sharon¹s hard work has been recognised by her being shortlisted for a Great North West Care Award.

“She is creative, imaginative and brings great vision and energy to every activity that she organises.

“Sharon is a wonderful asset to our team.”

Belong staff members have been shortlisted for 12 Great North West Care Awards.

The regional award winners will be announced at an event held on November 3.
