family tribute - Anthony Rushton - motorcyclist tribute

The family of a motorcyclist killed in an accident on the A530 Middlewich Road near Nantwich has paid tribute to him.

Anthony Rushton (pictured), 58, died after his motorbike collided with a car on the A530 close to the junction with Colleys Lane.

Mr Rushton, from Chesterton, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, was confirmed dead at the scene following the collision with a blue Mazda 5.

In a statement, his family said: “Anthony was one in a million to say the least, a loving family man with complete dedication to his children, grandchildren and partner, a great brother and all round fantastic person.

“Our hearts are beyond broken; he was taken far too soon and will be forever missed and never forgotten.”

The driver of the car, a 47-year-old man from Tarporley, was uninjured.

Cheshire Police are appealing for dashcam footage following the collision at around 11am on Sunday June 17.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Inquiries in relation to the collision are currently ongoing and anyone with any information in relation is asked to contact us.”
