There were mixed fortunes for the teams from the Crewe Regional Sunday League in the Cheshire FA Sunday Cup.

Crewe Ath were the only side to progress to the next round following a penalty shoot-out win over Sale Utd U21.

George & Dragon also had a penalty shoot-out but unfortunately lost 8-7.

Nantwich Pirates lost 5-2 against FC Vineyard, Faddiley lost 8-1 at Dock AFC, Willaston WS lost 5-1 at Heygarth and Audlem lost 4-1 at Spittal Vaults.

In the Premier Division, reigning champions Square One returned to the top of the division with a 7-3 win over Talbot.

Danny Dodd scored five times with Liam Murray and an own goal completing the scoring. Luke Hamlett (2) and Liam Whittaker scored for Talbot.

Elworth Park suffered their second loss of the season going down 4-1 at Betley FC for whom Jamie Baker netted a hat-trick.

Simon Roberts also scored for Betley FC with Jack Steele scoring for Elworth Park.

A Jamie Ball goal was enough to give NHB FC victory over White Lion FL.

The Salvador v Wistaston Leopard game didn’t take place as the referee failed to turn up for the game.

In Division One, The Ark returned to the top of the league with a 4-2 win at AFC Wickstead.

Dean Clarke (2), Steve Hughes and a Joe Pointon penalty scored for The Ark with Paul Bowker and Croft scoring for AFC Wickstead.

Previous leaders Sydney Arms were held to a 2-2 draw at Haslington FC with Jordan Smith and Owen Potter scoring for Haslington FC and Sean Owen and Alex Forrester scoring for Sydney Arms.

Broadhurst FC won 3-2 at White Lion with Liam Millington, Chris Lawrence and Adam Ireland scoring for Broadhurst FC with Nathan Cherrington scoring twice in reply.

The bottom two teams in the Division shared six goals in a 3-3 draw.

Matt Timms (2) and Wayne Clark-Owen scored for Sandbach Town, with Kamil Kanownik (2) and Lukasz Synowicz replying for White Eagles.

Winsford Over 3 also drew 3-3 with Brighton Belle, with Calvin Abbott, Jamie and Calum Lovell scoring for Winsford Over 3.

James Mason (2) and John Mowatt netted for Brighton Belle.
