Independent councillors call on residents to back “Change Cheshire East” petition

Independent members of Cheshire East Council are calling on residents to get behind a petition which could shake up the way decisions are made.

The group – which includes 13 councillors – has launched the ‘Change Cheshire East’ campaign to give councillors of all political persuasions a bigger voice.

The Nantwich Branch of the Royal British Legion will hold a Remembrance Day Parade and Service to commemorate 100 years since guns fell silent on November 11, 1918.

The parade will form up at Nantwich Civic Hall on the morning of November 11.

Mr Clinton, who has replaced the retiring Meredydd David OBE, has been appointed Principal and Chief Executive of the leading land-based college.

This is the face of a prolific shoplifter who has been banned from entering a range of shops across Cheshire after being handed down a Criminal Behaviour Order to curb his criminality.

Andrew Nield, 37, of no fixed address, had been shoplifting for a number of years and was a blight on the business community, not only in Crewe, but the rest of Cheshire.

Two children including a one-year-old boy were flown to hospital after being badly injured in an accident involving a car in Crewe.

The youngsters, an 11-year-old girl and the one-year-old boy, were walking along West Street in Crewe when the collision happened.

Hat-trick hero Danny Glover sees Nantwich Town beat Scarborough Athletic

Two late goals from Danny Glover ensured an amazing turnaround at the Flamingo Land Stadium as Nantwich Town fought back to beat Scarborough Athletic.

Scarborough put on the pressure from the first whistle, and they broke the deadlock after 27 minutes when Wayne Brooksby was played through and slid it under Fabian Spiess’ outstretched arm.
