Donate a Brick scheme at Pear Tree School

Former pupils, staff, governors and volunteers of a Stapeley school can now leave a permanent mark – in a new “Donate a Brick” scheme.

Pear Tree Primary School is raising funds to support the new extension of its school hall and to buy new equipment.

And the school’s PTA are offering people a chance to buy and donate a brick which can be engraved with their name or a message.

A PTA spokesperson said: “Whether you’re a student, ex-student, staff, volunteer, part of our wider school community, or a local business who would like to be involved, we would like to invite you to help us to raise money for new equipment and our hall extension, and literally Leave Your Mark and Donate a Brick!

“We are offering engraved bricks which will be provided as a thank you for each £50 donation and which will become a permanent part of the building.”

Each brick can include a maximum of two lines, each with 16 characters on, and can be personalised with a name or brief message.

“It is our intention to include the bricks in the initial build and to do this we need all requests for bricks back by Monday November 12,” the spokesperson added.

Donation forms are available from the school website www.peartreeprimary.co.uk and from school reception on Pear Tree Field, Nantwich CW5 7GZ (01270 906120), where you will also be able to see a sample of the “thank you brick”.
