appeal - man with serious injuries - police tape by jayneandd

Burglars targeted two neighbouring homes in Nantwich, stealing a hoard of jewellery.

The properties, on Broad Lane in Stapeley, were broken into in broad daylight.

No one was in the houses when they were raided between 2pm and 3pm on Thursday November 15.

Inquiries are ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed anyone entering or exiting the houses or anything suspicious in the area to get in touch.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have dashcam footage of the offenders.

Detective Constable Marshall-Bowater said: “Burglary is a serious offence in which people are targeted in their own home, which is the place you should be able to feel most safe.

“In this instance the offenders targeted adjoining homes on a main road into Nantwich from the Audlem area.

“The jewellery that was stolen had great sentimental value to its owner and having it stolen from her house has left her extremely upset.

“We are determined to catch the offenders and make them face the consequences of their actions and I urge anyone who was walking or driving along the A529 between 2pm and 3pm on Thursday 15 November that thinks they may have witnessed something relevant to our ongoing investigation to come forward.

“The same goes for anyone who believes they may have dashcam footage that could aid the investigation.”

Anyone with information that may be of use to detectives investigating the burglaries, no matter how small, should call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 242072, give the details via https://cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
