Police are hunting burglars after a break-in at a property on Audlem Road in Hatherton.
The incident took place between 1.30pm and 3pm today (December 18).

Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner blames Government for funding cost

The Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) says the Government is “passing the baton” for funding the force on to residents.
David Keane has told the Cheshire police and crime panel he will ask acting chief constable Janette McCormick how much money will be needed in 2019-20 before launching a public consultation in January about raising the council tax precept.

Among the items taken from the former Brine Leas student was her Olympic edition Samsung Galaxy phone.

Wistaston Community Council’s annual ‘Christmas Concert’ took place at St Mary’s Church Hall, Church Lane, Wistaston.
It featured Wells Green Choir led by Myra Wood, Shavington Academy Music Ensemble led by John Clarke and Wistaston Church Lane Academy Choir led by Helen Collett.

Mrs Stockton passed away on Saturday (December 15) at the Cypress Court Nursing Home in Crewe.
