Peter Pan panto at crewe lyceum

Cheshire’s biggest panto “Peter Pan” has officially set sail with the pantomime’s launch at Crewe Lyceum Theatre.

Stars of this year’s production include Cannon and Ball, Chico, Malcolm Lord, Stefan Peijc, Joshua Wyatt and Danielle Lockwood.

They joined supporters of the historic theatre for a special meet and greet.

This year sees the return by popular demand of Cannon and Ball for their fourth consecutive Crewe Lyceum panto as Pirate Tommy and Pirate Bobby alongside The X Factor star Chico as Big Chief Chico, leader of the Neverlanders.

Performing alongside is Malcolm Lord, returning as our Dame, Stefan Pejic as Captain Hook, Joshua Wyatt as Peter Pan and Danielle Lockwood as Tinkerbell.

Peter Pan is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, and the company behind the Theatre’s previous record-breaking productions of Jack and the Beanstalk, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin and Cinderella.

Lyceum Theatre director Adam Knight said: “The Lyceum Theatre is no stranger to star casting and this year’s Peter Pan looks set to continue that trend as we welcome back comedy legends Cannon & Ball alongside X-Factor star Chico!

“It’s always a thrill to welcome familiar faces back to our stage and dame extraordinaire Malcolm Lord returns for his fourth year along with last year’s baddie Stefan Pejic in the coveted role of Captain Hook.

“With superbly talented West End leads Joshua Wyatt and Danielle Lockwood making their Lyceum debuts in the roles of Peter and Tinkerbell, make sure to hook your tickets fast for Cheshire’s favourite family pantomime.”

Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball are best known for their comedy variety show The Cannon & Ball Show, which ran for over nine years on ITV1 featuring their classic comedy routines and trademark catchphrases.

They have established their reputation as one of the nation’s best-loved comedy double acts.

They have since had success in sitcoms, gameshows, comedy shows, summer seasons, plays and pantomimes.

Chico became a household name as a finalist on the hit ITV show The X Factor.

Not content with knocking Madonna off the top of the UK chart with his hit Chico Time, he swapped singing for skating and captivated the nation with his routines and reached the final of ITV1’s Dancing on Ice.

Tickets for Peter Pan are already selling fast, and the production is on-track to match last year’s hit pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.

Peter Pan runs from Friday December 13 until Sunday January 5 and tickets can be booked at crewelyceum.co.uk or on 01270 368 242.
