Visitors enjoyed an open day to view facilities at a long-established pre-school group in Nantwich.
Little Crickets, based in the grounds of Highfield Academy, threw open its doors to prospective parents and children during a fun-packed day.
Generations of children have enjoyed learning through play since the facility, previously known as Nantwich Pre-School Playgroup, opened its doors back in 1966.
Young visitors enjoyed decorating biscuits, nature studies and dressing up.
Outdoors they let loose their energy in the newly-turfed garden complete with play equipment, basketball, Wendy house, trikes and slides.
Manager Helen Dobbie said: “Lots of focus has been made this year on creating a fantastic, stimulating, bright and colourful learning environment for our children.
“We’ve been part of the Nantwich community for over 50 years and take great pride in offering a nurturing environment where children make friends and prepare for their big journey ahead.
“We were delighted to show off our facilities to many new parents and to the younger siblings of pupils already attending Highfields.”
This term, Little Crickets has welcomed more than 40 tots to its purpose-built setting in Cumberland Avenue.
There are funded places for two to four year-olds and 15 or 30 hours of provision to eligible families as well as privately-funded sessions.
Children work to the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to learn about the world around them and develop their literacy, numeracy, speech and language skills ahead of primary school.
