Crewe & Nantwich RUFC v Camp Hill - pic by Martyn Wilson

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC 1sts were narrowly beaten at home by Camp Hill.

And a “gutted” head coach John Farr said his side were their own worst enemy with the number of errors made.

The visitors, who are third in the Midlands 2 West (North), were given a stern test at the Vagrants with Crewe on the back of two successive victories.

Coach Farr said: “I’m gutted! A real backwards step after the progress made in the previous two
games.

“Worst of all, Camp Hill didn’t beat us as much as we beat ourselves.

“Too many individual errors and sloppy defending proved to be the difference on the day.

“We need to be far more clinical away at Wolverhampton next week.”

Crewe remain in eighth place but only four points ahead of second from bottom Burntwood.

There was no match for Crewe & Nantwich Ladies at the weekend, who are gearing up for a big game at hone to Darlington next weekend.

The Colts also suffered a a narrow defeat against top of the league Tarleton, 27-24.
