Players and friends of Nantwich Town Wolves Visually Impaired football club are planning a sponsored 42-mile walk to raise money for the club.

The annual walk will start in Nantwich and finish in Hayfield in the Peak District on Saturday September 12.

All money raised will go to Nantwich Town Wolves Visually Impaired FC towards helping with their transport and the day-to-day running of the club.

Event organiser, Craig Acton, said: “Myself and the other participants will be pushing our bodies and minds to breaking point.

“Any donations would be gratefully received, and we would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support.”

Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC give free pan-disability football training sessions every Friday (7-8pm) on Nantwich Town’s 3G pitch at the Weaver Stadium.

Sessions are open to anyone aged 16 and over with a disability.

Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC is run by Craig and Keir Welch and sponsored by local disability company Direct Access.
