Wistaston Jubilee Tennis Club (WJTC) on Church Lane is gearing up to re-open their two courts at the end of this month when nationwide lockdown restrictions ease, writes Jonathan White.

All outdoor tennis clubs across the country will be able to re-open for play from Monday (March 29), as part of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s four-step roadmap out of lockdown.

Members are being asked not to socialise off court, remember the two-metre rule and to wash hands when entering or leaving courts.

WJTC annual memberships are currently available at a reduced rate: Adults = £75, Juniors = £40, Off peak = £25.

WJTC is joining forces with ‘Sports Coaching Group’ again and running an Easter camp on April 9 and 16 (9-3pm), https://www.sportscoachinggroup.co.uk/holiday-clubs

George Raiswell, Club captain and Wistaston A captain, said: “Myself and the members can’t wait to get back playing!

“I look forward to welcoming new members to our club as well!

“I’m also looking forward to working with Sports coaching group as our Easter camps are booking up.”
