The UK\u2019s largest dog welfare charity, Dogs Trust, is on a mission to bust some myths about man\u2019s best friend and help dog owners understand their canine companions better than ever before.<\/p>\n
The \u2018Understanding Your Dog\u2019 evening run by Dogs Trust Dog School Shropshire & Cheshire will take a look at everything from how dogs have evolved from wolves to become the number one pet in the UK to providing an insight into how our four-legged friends view the world and why they do the things they do.<\/p>\n
Award winning Head Coach at Dogs Trust Dog School Shropshire, Rachel Rodgers, says:<\/p>\n
\u201cOur dogs often seem to understand us more than we understand them, so this is a fun evening helping everyone find out that bit more about what it\u2019s like in a dog\u2019s world.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will bust some myths around the need to be \u2018pack leader\u2019 and we will take a look at how a dog sees and importantly smells and hears the world, which gives a great insight into why sometimes they react in ways we don\u2019t immediately understand and therefore don\u2019t know how best to react to.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will also help people understand dog body language, including why a waggy tail doesn\u2019t always mean a happy dog.<\/p>\n
“Last but not least we will look at what we can do to stop them doing things that they find great fun, such as stealing socks and other personal items!<\/p>\n
\u201cThe more we understand our dogs the more we can help them love life with us and the more great times we can have together.\u201d<\/p>\n
The evening seminar will take place at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury on Monday 15 April at 7.30pm.<\/p>\n
