Community groups and causes in and around Nantwich have been urged to apply for a share of Redrow’s \u00a35,000 community fund.<\/p>\n

Eight groups and projects in the area benefited from the first round of community funding from the developer which is building homes at the Kingsbourne development in Nantwich.<\/p>\n

Those groups included Wingate Children’s Centre, Inner Trust Community Project and Wrenbury Pre-School.<\/p>\n

Anna Evans-Kerr, head of sales at Redrow Homes (NW), said: “We are very pleased to invite more good causes to apply for a share of further community funding for the Nantwich area.<\/p>\n

“We have previously helped very deserving groups who work hard to improve the lives of people in the area including Inner Trust Community Project, Apex Cheer Nantwich, Wrenbury Pre-School and The Wingate Children’s Special Trust.<\/p>\n

“The idea of the community fund is to support small projects at the heart of local life by making a number of small grants that can potentially make a big difference.<\/p>\n

“It’s all part of our commitment to creating thriving, sustainable communities where people love to live.”<\/p>\n

Redrow says it has injected more than \u00a32.5 million into the area surrounding Nantwich, including improvements to the local primary and secondary schools and highways.<\/p>\n

There is allocation for a new community hub within the Kingsbourne development<\/a>, including a commercial unit with shops and services.<\/p>\n
