Bentley Motors in Crewe has launched its new Bentayga Hybrid \u2013 the first electrified luxury SUV in the world.<\/p>\n

Company bosses at Bentley believe the model will become the best-selling member of the new Bentayga family.<\/p>\n

It follows recent launches of the new Bentayga V8 and Bentayga Speed built at the Pyms Lane site.<\/p>\n

The new Bentayga Hybrid uses up to 31 miles of electric-only range (NEDC), and a total combined range of 536 miles (NEDC).<\/p>\n

It also boasts new technologies and connected car services, making it the most technically advanced Bentayga to date.<\/p>\n

With latest on-board technology and a more cosseting cabin, it has been significantly revised inside and out from the previous generation.<\/p>\n

Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors<\/a> Adrian Hallmark said: “The Bentayga Hybrid is the next step on our journey to becoming the world\u2019s leading sustainable luxury mobility company.<\/p>\n

“Bentley will transform from a 100-year-old luxury car company to a new, sustainable, wholly ethical role model for luxury, and the Bentayga Hybrid is the first model to pioneer our company\u2019s recently announced Beyond100 strategy.”<\/p>\n

Bentley says its research shows more than 90% of customers use their first-generation Bentayga Hybrid on a daily basis or several times a week.<\/p>\n

Nearly 100% use EV mode, with half consistently undertaking journeys of less than 30 miles.<\/p>\n

During previous retailer training, 78% zero emissions journeys were achieved regularly over a 500-mile activity.<\/p>\n

In a more urban environment, one of Bentley\u2019s development drivers achieved 67% zero emissions over 672 miles around San Francisco.<\/p>\n

And in the UK, Chris Cole, Project Leader for the Bentayga Hybrid, achieved 64% zero emissions commuting to and from the factory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
