Nantwich solicitors Hibberts are launching an exercise challenge \u201cThe Great Advent Challenge\u201d in aid of The Nantwich Christie Hospital Support Group.<\/p>\n
The challenge starts on December 1 and runs until Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n
From Wednesday, participants must exercise, either walk, run, cycle, swim or go to the gym – whichever they choose, every day of Advent.<\/p>\n
There is one common aim to get fit before Christmas and have some festive fun while raising awareness and funds to support The Christie Hospital.<\/p>\n
They will then receive Strava details and there will be prizes for those who spend the most time exercising as well as the greatest distance covered on Strava.<\/p>\n
Tara, partner at Hibberts, said: “Christmas is often an indulgent time and at Hibberts we wanted to encourage our colleagues and community to get fit in the run-up to the festivities.<\/p>\n
“What better way than to join \u201cThe Great Advent Challenge\u201d and exercise every day during advent?<\/p>\n
“Christmas is also a time for giving and we are keen to support local charities.<\/p>\n
“We have chosen The Nantwich Hospital Support Group due to the excellent work the small committee of volunteers do in raising funds for the Christie Hospital.<\/p>\n
“We are delighted to have also chosen them as our charity of the year for 2022.<\/p>\n

The Nantwich Christie Hospital Support Group was set up in 1993 by Sarah Darlington following the treatment of her dad at The Christie in Manchester.<\/p>\n
The group raises funds through events and corporate support, and so far have raised more than \u00a3450,000 for research projects at the hospital.<\/p>\n
Neil Tinsley, Treasurer at The Nantwich Christie Hospital Support Group, said: “We\u2019re very excited that Hibberts Solicitors have chosen to run their Advent challenge to raise funds for our group.<\/p>\n
“Events like these are vital to helping The Christie stay at the forefront of research and as a fairly new cyclist, I have already registered for the event, although I might forgo cy-cling for walking given the recent weather.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re also thrilled that Hibberts has chosen to support us next year and we\u2019re looking forward to more events to come!”<\/p>\n
