{"id":54651,"date":"2022-01-09T12:43:43","date_gmt":"2022-01-09T11:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenantwichnews.co.uk\/directory\/?p=54651"},"modified":"2022-01-09T12:43:43","modified_gmt":"2022-01-09T11:43:43","slug":"bentley-motors-records-31-rise-in-global-sales-compared-to-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenantwichnews.co.uk\/directory\/bentley-motors-records-31-rise-in-global-sales-compared-to-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Bentley Motors records 31% rise in global sales compared to 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bentley Motors has recorded total sales of 14,659 in 2021 &#8211; a rise of 31% on the previous.<\/p>\n<p>And bosses say the achievement was driven by new model introductions and increasing demand for Bentley\u2019s new hybrid models.<\/p>\n<p>The Crewe-based firm has said it intends to be producing fully electric only vehicles by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>The success of the new hybrid option ensured Bentayga remained Bentley\u2019s number one model.<\/p>\n<p>It sold more in its fifth year of sales than ever before, establishing itself as the most successful luxury SUV in the world.<\/p>\n<p>A full year of Flying Spur sales around the world and the introduction of the Continental GT Speed, among 11 new derivatives launched, added to sales success.<\/p>\n<p>The Americas maintained its position as the biggest selling global market for the company, selling more than ever before.<\/p>\n<p>China almost matched this performance for the first time in a decade.<\/p>\n<p>Combined, the Americas and China contributed 56% of Bentley\u2019s total global sales.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Bentayga\u2019s 40% share, Bentley\u2019s definitive luxury grand tourer, the Continental GT added 33 per cent of total sales, split between 60% coupe and 40% convertible.<\/p>\n<p>Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bentleymotors.com\/en.html\">Bentley Motors<\/a>, said: &#8220;2021 was yet another year of unpredictability though I am delighted to be able to confirm that we overcame significant headwinds, and deliver a breakthrough in our sales performance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is our second record sales year in the successive years and is a positive sign of our brand strength, operational excellence, strong global demand and affirmation of our strategic priorities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The reaction to the market introduction of the Bentayga Hybrid and anticipation for Flying Spur Hybrid demonstrate the path the luxury sector is heading, and we are positioned firmly at the forefront.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These numbers are validation that we not only lead the sector in sales and market share, but also investment in electric technologies and commitment to being the first fully electrified and zero carbon luxury car company in the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-54654\" src=\"https:\/\/thenantwichnews.co.uk\/directory\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sales-results-9-Bentley.jpg\" alt=\"Sales results -
