firm Everything Genetic hits \u00a335million turnover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Nantwich healthcare company specialising in genetic testing has reported strong revenue growth after it applied its genetic screening expertise to develop a Covid testing service.<\/p>\n<p>Everything Genetic reported a turnover of \u00a335 million and a growth in staff numbers from 9 to 69 for the year ending December 31, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>And it has announced it is recruiting for more roles across the business.<\/p>\n<p>The business \u2013 founded in 2016 offering genetic testing for common cancers and heart disease \u2013 expanded its remit to produce rapid antigen lateral flow and PCR tests.<\/p>\n<p>It has since sold more than a million test kits across its Covid and genetic testing capabilities over the past 18 months, allowing it to re-invest profits into an expanded workforce, boost local jobs, and make an additional \u00a31m of investments and acquisitions.<\/p>\n<p>Everything Genetic CEO James Price says the company\u2019s growth and investments reflect the essential role played by the sector.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8220;From pioneering vaccines to the roll out of public health interventions, the UK is emerging from the pandemic as a life science powerhouse.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We feel privileged to have played a part, helping individuals and businesses navigate the complexities and ever-changing landscape of Covid testing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our tests and services have enabled people to travel abroad, do business and see loved ones.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Everything Genetic\u2019s recent investments and acquisitions include a shareholding in novel genetics testing business Antegenes, reflecting the company\u2019s continued commitment to its pre-Covid mission of improving patient outcome through pioneering testing methods.<\/p>\n<p>The Antegenes tests improve patient outcomes for those more genetically predisposed to certain cancers.<\/p>\n<p>The business also acquired a local IT firm, Value Stream Impact, which brought vital resource in-house to improve its IT provision and the servicing of business clients.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, early last year it also announced financial backing for diagnostics technology start-up, \u00e9clateral, which is set to create the \u2018next generation of lateral flow tests\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/everythinggeneticltd.co.uk\">Everything Genetic<\/a> says the technology is set to &#8220;hack and digitise&#8221; the $7bn global lateral flow diagnostics market upon release.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Price feels public interest will grow in other available tests which can provide actionable health and insight data.<\/p>\n<p>He added: &#8220;Whether screening for Covid, cancer or heart disease, our aim is to democratise the provision of testing for all; ensuring we can all benefit from the skills learnt during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The life sciences sector is in an ideal position for the nation to capitalise on that current infrastructure, using it as a launchpad.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We don\u2019t want to lose that appetite and all of that expertise learnt by the industry once the pandemic is over.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our growth over the last year or so will allow our business to go forward with renewed confidence in additional investments.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It will enable us to recruit more skilled individuals and invest into new cancer studies and trials, which we hope more and more of the population will be able to access and benefit
