Boughey Distribution’s two sites in Wardle and Shavington have passed a regulatory inspection with flying colours.<\/p>\n
BRCGS inspectors awarded \u2018A+\u2019 and \u2018AA\u2019 grades in the Storage and Distribution standard for the second year running.<\/p>\n
The industry accreditation benchmarks logistics companies and their customers and recognises best practice.<\/p>\n
The grading scale is from \u2018AA\u2019 to \u2018D\u2019 and then Uncertified.<\/p>\n
The \u2018AA\u2019 grade awarded to Boughey\u2019s newest warehouse off the A500 is the highest grade achievable under the announced audit programme.<\/p>\n
The warehouse opened in 2020 with 237,734 sq ft of ambient storage space.<\/p>\n
At the company\u2019s main base in Wardle, Nantwich, a 48-acre site with multiple warehouses, the company received \u2018A+\u2019 certification which denotes between 5 and 10 minor changes required.<\/p>\n
Both audits were managed by Boughey\u2019s Senior Quality Management Audit Supervisor, Sarah Hall.<\/p>\n
She praised staff at both sites for their “commitment to and support for food safety and quality control”.<\/p>\n
Warehouse Operations Director Danny Earp said: “I really can\u2019t praise our teams working at both Wardle and Crewe highly enough.<\/p>\n
“Achieving these high grades, and against a new BRCGS standard, is an amazing result.<\/p>\n
“Like many other logistics companies operating during these exceptional times, we have been under extreme pressure and have had to accommodate the many changes demanded by the pandemic.<\/p>\n
“We have also experienced unprecedented levels of work over the last two years and the level of commitment and adaptability from our team has been exceptional.<\/p>\n
“To deliver these high-level results under daily pressure is all about great teamwork.<\/p>\n
“I would also like to pay tribute to Sarah Hall for her diligent management of the audits and her commitment to upholding the high standards across our two sites, including continually communicating their importance to our business and our customers.”<\/p>\n
Due to increasing volumes, Boughey is running a campaign to recruit new members for their team in a number of areas of the business.<\/p>\n
