The environment, staff development and customer care are the priorities for Cheshire-based Boughey Distribution\u2019s new managing director.<\/p>\n
Angela Carus takes over the role from Keith Forster who has retired after 20 years with the company.<\/p>\n
Angela joins the company from Culina where she was director of operations and brings an impressive track-record of industry expertise to Boughey, including hands-on warehouse experience.<\/p>\n
Her first job in the industry, not long after leaving school, was as a warehouse picker for Wincanton.<\/p>\n
She then went on to cover a range of operations within the industry and has held senior roles with a broad spectrum of companies including Gist, Kuehne + Nagel, XPO and NYK Logistics. <\/p>\n
As Boughey\u2019s managing director, Angela sees her wider remit as developing relationships with the company\u2019s loyal customer base, building on its distinguished 58-year history and securing future success. <\/p>\n
She said: “I am extremely fortunate to have joined a successful business in excellent shape.<\/p>\n
“We have a talented team of people here who are passionate and proud of the business they\u2019re part of.<\/p>\n
“There are good standards in place across our two sites in Wardle and Crewe and we have long-standing positive relationships with many of our customers.<\/p>\n
“Our people, a substantial number with long service records, are the company\u2019s most important asset and what really stands out is the \u2018family feel\u2019 of the business which, for a company with a turnover of \u00a362m, is a real asset.”<\/p>\n
Angela sees her initial priorities as making sure Boughey can be the best company it can be, ensuring colleagues know that they are valued by the company and that this is highly visible.<\/p>\n
Meeting customers will also be high on her agenda to secure the strength of the business for the future.<\/p>\n
She says continually listening to customers and keeping pace with the industry\u2019s ever-evolving requirements will support business growth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
