{"id":54803,"date":"2022-03-23T17:37:49","date_gmt":"2022-03-23T16:37:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenantwichnews.co.uk\/directory\/?p=54803"},"modified":"2022-03-23T17:37:49","modified_gmt":"2022-03-23T16:37:49","slug":"south-cheshire-care-firms-face-uphill-battle-to-recruit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenantwichnews.co.uk\/directory\/south-cheshire-care-firms-face-uphill-battle-to-recruit\/","title":{"rendered":"South Cheshire care firms face uphill battle to recruit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A South Cheshire care firm has admitted recruitment of staff is now one of the biggest challenges the sector faces.<\/p>\n<p>The number of people who need care in their community is growing as the nation lives longer.<\/p>\n<p>And companies like SureCare Central Cheshire are facing challenges to find enough staff to meet the demand.<\/p>\n<p>Tina Jones and Kirstie Hercules established SureCare Central Cheshire in February 2019, shortly before the pandemic began.<\/p>\n<p>Kirstie said: &#8220;We are incredibly proud of how well our team worked through the pandemic, there isn\u2019t anything that stops them \u2013 pandemic, storms, floods, they always ensure our clients receive all of their calls, every day of the year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>SureCare was awarded Top 20 Home Care Provider award in both 2020 and 2021 by homecare.co.uk, and is rated &#8220;Good&#8221; by Care Quality Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Tina said: &#8220;We could see we were achieving our aims of high-quality care for our clients from their comments and seeing our team going above and beyond to keep people safe and well and leaving them with a smile on their face.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now that we are seeing a future beyond Covid we want to achieve Outstanding overall and provide links from our clients homes to their communities and to continually drive up the quality of care that we and our team provide.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jo Douglas joined the team with no experience in care because she wanted to do the best she can for our clients.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8220;I started working at SureCare just before Christmas, this has been my first care working job.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I absolutely love it, the training was very informative.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The management are always on hand to help with any questions or queries I have.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The other staff are so helpful and friendly I feel like I have known them for years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The hours are amazing and work well around my children.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Castelow joined as a care assistant and has recently been promoted to a senior role.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8220;I have worked at SureCare for over a year now and I would say it\u2019s the best company I have worked for.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The support you receive from management is amazing, you never feel like you are working on your own and they provide brilliant opportunities for you to progress in your career and learn more through training courses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The best thing about the team is that we truly care about the clients and are dedicated to making their lives as easy as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everyone deserves to be cared for with dignity and respect and this is what I believe as a team we achieve.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sarah is pictured with client Wyn and is helping her to choose some new spring clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Wyn said: &#8220;Care means everything to me, especially when it is the right care.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was naturally nervous about inviting strangers into my home but the team at SureCare have always been professional and kind and they always introduce a new carer to me.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I need to take medication everyday but the best medication I receive is from my carers talking to me every day.
