Bosses at Nantwich healthcare company Everything Genetic say they are pushing forward with ambitious growth targets after it secured a \u00a35m funding facility from Tradeplus24.<\/p>\n

The firm, which specialises in genetic testing and healthcare diagnostics, says the funding follows strong revenue growth for the business, which reported \u00a335m turnover over the last financial year.<\/p>\n

The business<\/a>, established in 2016, bolstered its genetic screening expertise to develop Covid testing kits and announced a deal to supply hundreds of Tesco stores nationwide with lateral flow tests.<\/p>\n

The financing package from Tradeplus24 will start at \u00a31.8million, before growing to \u00a35m, in line with Everything Genetic\u2019s targets.<\/p>\n

The business has sold more than a million test kits across its Covid and genetics testing capabilities over the past 18 months, allowing it to make a further \u00a31m of investments and acquisitions.<\/p>\n

CEO and founder James Price says it will enable the business to further expand its presence into preventative healthcare testing, including developing its own assays.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to have received the funding approval from Tradeplus24. It\u2019s a significant deal which underpins the wider confidence into the life sciences sector and one which will help us to bolster our presence across the UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom pioneering vaccines to the roll out of public health interventions, the UK is undoubtedly emerging from the pandemic as a life science powerhouse.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe feel privileged to have played a small part in that; helping individuals and businesses of all sizes navigate the complexities and ever-changing landscape of Covid testing. Our tests and services have enabled people to travel abroad, do business and see loved ones.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough we expect our offering for corporate and consumer Covid testing will continue to be an important area for us, we\u2019ll aim to refocus our efforts on expanding our genetic predisposition testing, pharma-genomics and developing our own assays.<\/p>\n
