Nantwich firm Boughey Distribution has been shortlisted for two national awards by UK Warehousing Association.<\/p>\n

UKWA\u2019s Annual Awards recognise achievements of individuals and companies operating in the logistics industry.<\/p>\n

Boughey, with bases in Wardle and now Shavington off the A500, has been shortlisted in the Infrastructure Project and Value Added Services categories.<\/p>\n

Winners will be announced at a lunch being held on Tuesday June 28 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.<\/p>\n

For the Infrastructure Project Award, Boughey submitted details of its 237,734 sq ft warehouse in Shavington which opened in 2020.<\/p>\n

After taking occupancy of the newly-constructed state-of-the-art facility, the company worked to a 28-week timeline to get the new facility fully-operational, requiring an investment of \u00a32.29 million.<\/p>\n

Boughey processes around 20,000 pallets a week through the facility, around 40% of the company\u2019s overall volume.<\/p>\n

For the Value Added Services Award, Boughey\u2019s submission comprised details of its contract packing expertise including shrink wrapping, re-boxing, re-labelling, free-standing display unit assembly and re-palletising.<\/p>\n

The submission also highlighted the company\u2019s e-commerce operation which has expanded rapidly due to the huge surge in online shopping created by COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Boughey<\/a> Warehouse Operations Director Danny Earp said: “Being recognised for two UKWA awards is great news for us and we are very proud to have made been shortlisted.<\/p>\n

“Both awards are due to our committed team of people: those who worked so hard to get our Crewe warehouse open under very difficult circumstances and our Value Added Services and E-commerce colleagues who deliver day-in day-out for our customers.<\/p>\n

“Our business has been built on flexibility and agility, so value added services have always been an integral part of our offering.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s all about creating value for our customers and putting on a service to save them money by using our infrastructure and expertise.<\/p>\n
