Bentley Motors has recorded “encouraging” financial results for the first six months of 2022, despite continued global economic uncertainty.<\/p>\n

The Crewe-based luxury British marque posted operating profits of \u20ac398 million, up 124% on the same period last year.<\/p>\n

The half-yearly figures compare favourably to \u20ac389 million for the whole of 2021, the company\u2019s previous record year.<\/p>\n

Turnover increased from \u20ac1.324 billion during the first half of 2021 to \u20ac1.707 billion, while revenue per car climbed from \u20ac186,000, to \u20ac213,000, largely due to increased levels of personalisation.<\/p>\n

No luxury brand now sells more cars over \u20ac200,000 or \u20ac250,000 than Bentley.<\/p>\n

Return on sales also reached a record 23.3% during the first six months of 2022, up from 13.4% the previous year.<\/p>\n

The best-selling Bentayga luxury SUV claimed 40% of total sales, with the latest Flying Spur sedan accounting for 27%, and the Continental GT Grand Tourer recording 33%.<\/p>\n

Bentley sales were up 33% in Europe and 44% in the UK year-to-date, helped by the introduction of the Continental GT Speed.<\/p>\n

Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, said: “Despite the continued global economic instability, it is promising to see Bentley is showing financial consistency as we reinvent the company in line with our Beyond100 strategy and form a basis to withstand further external shocks.<\/p>\n

“In particular, a significant increase in demand and capitalisation of our Mulliner personalisation programme has driven record return on sales, and continued global interest in the freshest model line in the luxury sector has resulted in record high revenues.<\/p>\n

“I would like to thank our hard-working colleagues for their continued efforts, as Bentley continues its ground-breaking transformation towards an electrified future, financial independence and to be the leader in sustainable luxury mobility.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Bentley Americas and The SagerStrong Foundation, founded by the late Craig Sager and his wife Stacy, have debuted this Bentley Mulliner in an effort to benefit blood cancer research.<\/p>\n

The Mulliner team mimicked the flower pattern to complement the Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible\u2019s iconic shape.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s our aspiration that further enhancing this car with the signatures of Craig\u2019s family, both on and off the court, will create an iconic piece of rolling memorabilia: a lighthouse of hope for those that knew and loved Craig.”<\/p>\n
