Nantwich firm Boughey Distribution has appointed Alex Hall as its new Finance Director.
He joins from GXO Logistics and takes over the role at Boughey following the retirement of Ian Sherratt who held the post for the last 10 years.
Alex began his career with Wincanton as an assistant accountant in their foodservice business before progressing to the role of Finance Manager supporting a number of the company’s largest contracts.
He moved to US firm XPO Logistics, initially as a Finance Business Partner before stepping up to become the Head of Finance of one of their UK Business Units.
He went on to hold this position for two other XPO Business Units before moving to the newly-created GXO Logistics, as part of the company’s spin-off from XPO in 2021.
In his new role, Alex will lead the company’s finance team responsible for financial planning and analysis, and accounting activities, as well as supporting the business deliver positive financial results.
He will also report on Boughey’s financial performance into the NWF Group’s Board of Directors.
