Carers at Belong Crewe have had their work during the Covid crisis recognised at the Great North West Care Awards.
The company also took home a regional Social Care Hero Team Award.
The special award, assessed by an independent panel, applauded Belong’s handling of the pandemic across its seven villages and home care services in the North West and Midlands.
Belong’s win is based on prioritising the safety of customers and colleagues, whilst always working toward a Covid-free organisation.
The Front of House Team at the Brookhouse Drive village in Crewe were described by judges as “outcome focused and driven to provide the highest quality service to individuals, supporting them to remain independent in their own home and as part of the wider community”.
Support worker Jodie Challinor was highly commended in the Care Home Worker Award category for her enthusiasm and positivity.
And Sharon Bull was highly commended in the Workforce Development Award category for her passion progressing the careers of colleagues while enriching the lives of residents.
Both of Belong’s wins will go forward to the Great British Care Awards national finals in September.
Cheryl Davies, general manager at Belong Crewe, said: “We’re delighted to win such prestigious awards which recognise the efforts of our colleagues.
“It really is a testament to their hard work and dedication through what has been an incredibly challenging period – well done to everyone!”
