Radius headquarters in Crewe

Crewe-based Radius Payment Solutions, which provides B2B services including telecoms, fuel cards, vehicle tracking and insurance, has acquired of Connect Total Communications.

Connect Total Communications, founded in 2007, is a business telecoms provider headquartered in Belfast and with additional offices in Aberdeen and Lewes.

Its products and services include landlines and mobiles, business broadband and IT apps, which it delivers as a unified communications solution for its business customers.

The company is Northern Ireland’s biggest and fastest-growing challenger to dominant player BT in the business telecoms market and was founded by Matthew Brown.

Bill Holmes, CEO of Radius, said: “We are really looking forward to working with Matt and his team as they have built a really strong business based around both excellent products and great customer service.

“Our plan is to continue to build on this base and add some of the other elements we have been developing within our telecoms division which will help us accelerate going forward.

“We welcome Matt and the team to the group and look forward to working closely together over the coming weeks and months.”

The acquisition is the sixth by Radius in this sector in the last two years.

Ray Ferris, Managing Director of Radius Connect, said: “The acquisition of Connect Total Communications adds scale to our growing business and enables us to push into a new territory with an established business that has a strong presence in Northern Ireland.

“We will look to grow the Connect customer base in line with our ambition across the rest of the group whilst continuing to look for further acquisitions to support the buy and build strategy.”
