Crewe head-quartered business, Swansway Motor Group, is up for another national award.
The award-winning family-owned business is a finalist in the Best Dealer Group category of the AM Awards, the motor industry Oscars.
Delighted director Peter Smyth said: “For many and varied reasons 2019 was a very challenging year for those in the motor trade.
“So we’re particularly proud of our Swansway family team for continuing to work so hard and carrying on delivering excellent service to our customers across the group.
“It’s always nice to be recognised, but even more so when the recognition is for our wonderful team.”
Swansway’s head office operation is in Crewe, including its’ accident repair centre and group fleet facility, along with VW, SEAT, Audi and Jaguar dealerships in the town.
The group has dealerships in 20 locations, from Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North.
The awards, the motor industry equivalent of the Oscars, take place at the NCC in Birmingham on February 19.
Meanwhile, the car dealer’s donations to Circus Starr, a social enterprise which performs in the town on April 22, have reached almost £60,000.
Circus Starr, was founded in 1987, with aim of bringing joy to the lives of children and their carers who might otherwise not get the chance to have a day out together.
Swansway director David Smyth said: “Since the beginning of 2016, we’ve been donating £20 to Circus Starr for every car we sell on the Motability scheme; that’s the cost of one child and their parent or carer going to see a Circus Starr performance.
“The number of cars sold on the Motability scheme in 2019 has led to a donation of just over £19,080 for the year, which means we’ve donated nearly £60k in the three years we’ve been supporting Circus Starr.
“I’m a dad of three children myself and every time I come along to support Circus Starr, I’m humbled by the experience they give these children and their families.
“Seeing how much the children enjoy it, their smiles and their families’ smiles is very emotional for me as a Dad and I’m so proud that our family business is helping Sarah and the Circus Starr team make a real difference for other families.”
