Nantwich homecare provider Right at Home South Cheshire has been recognised as a UK Business Hero.
The team was nominated by the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce for its “high quality, person-centred support they provide for their clients”.
Many of their clients have been shielding at home since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ben Selby opened Right at Home South Cheshire in 2017, with the aim of improving quality of life for his clients and their families.
The provider now supports more than 70 clients across Nantwich, Crewe, Alsager, and Sandbach, and is expanding coverage to Middlewich and Holmes Chapel.
The UK Business Heroes 2020 campaign is run by the British Chambers of Commerce, who launched the campaign to recognise the incredible work that UK businesses are doing, in the most challenging of years and going the extra mile to support their local communities during the pandemic.
A spokesman for South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce said: “Ben and Right at Home completely changed the way they operated, took on NHS contracts to get patients back into their homes during COVID and went above and beyond to make the vulnerable in the community safe during lockdown.
“I interviewed him about a month ago and was really impressed by everything they put in place so quickly that I really do feel his team deserve recognition for all the good work in the community that they’ve done.”
Ben said: “I am so proud of the team and the exceptional efforts they have gone to, ensuring our Clients are safe, supported and connected with their family and friends throughout the pandemic.
“They have truly gone above and beyond to provide the best possible care and support to our Clients so it’s fantastic to see their hard work recognised.
“Thank you to the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce for the nomination. It really does mean so much to us.”
