Nantwich firm Watts has joined commercial finance colleagues to help raise £60,000 for a regional manager battling cancer.
Shawbrook’s Lee Albino, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, had to have a leg amputated above the knee due to a tumour.
He now faces six months’ of intensive chemotherapy before his long journey towards rehabilitation begins.
Phil Gray, managing director of Nantwich-baed Watts Commercial Finance, and Gavin Seaholme, Head of Sales at Shawbrook Commercial Property, have set up a JustGiving page.
They hopeto raise £60,000 to aid his rehabilitation and cover the cost of an extra special prosthetic leg.
Phil and the team at Watts Commercial Finance in Cheshire are climbing Snowdon in July to raise further money towards Lee’s fundraising target.
Marc Champ, of Bespoke Business Finance, has planned a charity golf event which will take place at Stapleford Abbots Golf Club in Essex next month.
Phil Gray said: “Lee Albino is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and we have set up the JustGiving page to support him in his hour of need.
“Since his diagnosis, Lee has shown such outstanding bravery and dignity while his positive outlook on his recovery carries him through these trying times.
“Gavin and I have been blown away by the support from our fellow industry colleagues and so far we have collectively raised a phenomenal £24,975 towards Lee’s rehab and extra special prosthetic leg.”
