Nantwich Foodbank has received a £500 donation from Taylor Wimpey North West.
The donation will be put towards the provision of food parcels for those in need during the COVID-19 crisis.
Nantwich Foodbank was set up in 2013 and provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people.
Supported by The Trussell Trust, the organisation helped more than 1,400 people last year.
Since the coronavirus pandemic, increased demand for donations has seen the organisation reaching out to the community and local businesses for additional support.
Jane Emery, manager at Nantwich Foodbank, said: “We cannot thank Taylor Wimpey enough for their generous donation.
“As you can imagine it is a very busy time at the moment and we want to be able to help as many people as we can.
“Assistance like this goes a long way to helping us continue our work for those who need us.”
Stuart Craig, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “We are living in extraordinary times and more people need the help of food banks than ever before.
“We wanted to make sure anyone who needs the service can continue to benefit from their good work.”
