A Nantwich salon is offering would-be models a chance to step into the spotlight as the face of an international hair brand.
Steven Burgin in Nantwich made Joico’s Image of the Year finals in 2018 after submitting a picture of a professional model sporting a 60s inspired blonde crop.
Now the salon on Hospital Street hopes to give a young person from the local area a chance to launch their modelling career by becoming the face of the American brand.
Owner Steven Burgin said: “This is a great opportunity for a local boy or girl who is hoping to forge a career in modelling and wishes to build up their portfolio.
“Last year our model was a professional but after speaking to the salon team we decided to offer the opportunity to any young person living in South Cheshire.
“Joico is a world leader in products that are kinder to the hair. Our clients love the results. To become the face of the brand, used on its promotional material, is an amazing opportunity.
“Our only criteria is that they are 18 or over and are willing to have their hair styled and coloured into a statement look.”
Steven Burgin uses Joico products in all services including colours.
One of the latest techniques offered, Balayage, involves the stylist using a brush and palette to mix the colour and apply to thin strands of hair to create a bespoke look.
The image contest, judged later in the year, demonstrates the skill of salons using the brand.
Budding local models who would like to represent Steven Burgin in the contest are asked to submit their pictures by emailing them to [email protected]
The person selected by the salon team will have a make-over before attending a professional photo-shoot. They will also receive a hamper of products.
For more information or to book an appointment call the salon on 01270 624333.
