Amazon and Morrisons are expanding the Morrisons store on Prime Now scheme to Nantwich and surrounding areas like Crewe, Sandbach, Cheadle, Longton, Fenton and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Prime Now is a grocery delivery service and its expansion was launched on Monday (April 27).

The online grocery home delivery service is already available to Amazon Prime members in 10 cities – Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow, Newcastle, Watford, Portsmouth and parts of London and Home counties.

Customers can order their Morrisons shop online, which is then collected at a local Morrisons store and delivered by Amazon.

It means local Prime members in Nantwich and parts of South Cheshire can now choose from thousands of products including
fruit and vegetables, cupboard-based food products, household items and pet supplies.

Chilled and frozen items are not yet available but are being added to the product selection in the future.

Goods are sourced from local Morrisons stores by shopping the Morrisons store on Prime Now either on the app  or at primenow.amazon.co.uk

Customers can choose from convenient delivery options including delivery at no additional cost within a two-hour window between 8am and midnight.

Doug Gurr, Amazon UK Country Manager, said: “We are committed to delivering what we know our customers care the most about – low prices, vast selection, and fast delivery.

“We are delighted that Prime members in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas can shop regularly with fast delivery to their door.

“Expanding the Morrisons store on Prime Now enables us to offer Morrisons high quality grocery selection to even more Prime members.”

David Potts, Morrisons Chief Executive, added: “We are always looking at ways to serve customers better, so we are very pleased to combine our good quality great value food with Amazon’s fast home delivery.”
