Applewood raising money for Donna Louise

A team of independent financial advisers from Nantwich has raised £13,885.63 for Donna Louise Hospice.

Employees at Applewood Independent wanted to help the children, young adults and families who use the hospice and began supporting the charity in 2016.

And last week the firm’s managing director David Pritchard made a personal donation of £500 after receiving the company’s “League of Heroes” certificate.

David said: “The Donna Louise Hospice is a wonderful organisation that is there to help children, young adults and their families at a very difficult time.

“Having toured the facilities it makes me and my organisation more convinced of what a great organisation it is and worthy of our support.

“They have to raise millions each year to help fund these services and we are very proud and happy to have helped in a small way towards their care services.”

Katie Tams, area fundraiser at The Donna Louise, added: “I would like to thank David and his team at Applewood Independent for supporting the children and young people who use the services of The Donna Louise.

“We rely almost entirely on the support of the local community to offer a wide range of care services to hundreds of families across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

“Without the support of people like David, we simply would not be able to continue offering our services. So, thank you David and team Applewood!”
