Alex Critchley Wins Apprentice of the Year 2019 (1)

A construction apprentice in Wrenbury near Nantwich has scooped Apprentice of the Year 2019 at The Sentinel’s annual Business Awards.

Alex Critchley is an apprentice CAD draughtsman working for Graham Heath Construction in Wrenbury, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of steel framed buildings for agricultural, industrial and equestrian industries.

Alex was employed as the company’s first ever apprentice in 2017 and is set to complete his studies in summer 2019.

He will then be offered a permanent, full-time position with the company to continue expanding his skillset and building on his experience.

The team attended the awards ceremony at Kings Hall in Stoke-on-Trent where they celebrated Alex’s win.

He won an A3 plaque, a planter engraved with his latest achievement by Wedgwood, a bottle of Champagne and complimentary tickets for a show at the new Vic Theatre.

A spokesperson for Graham Heath Construction said they are now looking to employ their third apprentice CAD Draughtsman to join the team.

Tom Richardson is the second apprentice who joined in summer 2018.
