A building site manager in Nantwich is celebrating a prestigious housing-building award for second year in a row.

Neil Lally, site manager at Taylor Wimpey’s Kingsbourne development in Nantwich, has been honoured with a NHBC (National House-Building Council) Pride in the Job Quality Award for the second year in a row.

Danny Jones, site manager at Taylor Wimpey’s Spring Croft development in Winsford, has scooped the same award for the fourth consecutive year.

Neil and Danny were honoured out of 11,000 entries.

The awards are presented following a rigorous judging process by NHBC inspectors.

This includes assessing developments throughout the year, spot checks, and customer service.

Neil Lally, site manager at Kingsbourne, said: “I have been in the building trade since I left school 39 years ago and it’s a great feeling knowing we are doing things right and giving our customers a home that they, and ourselves, can be proud of.”

Danny Jones, site manager at Spring Croft, added: “I’m delighted to have won a Quality Award for the fourth year in a row. We are starting a new phase at Spring Croft and it has been great to see it develop into a community.

“It makes me very proud to receive a trophy for all the hard work and effort we’ve put in, this is the biggest achievement and recognition I can ask for.

“I’m getting married this year and if I end the year a married man and a seal of excellence winner, I’ll be over the moon.”

Anthony Mansfield, managing director of Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “Danny and Neil’s Quality Awards are thoroughly deserved and we’ll all be supporting them as they progress through to the regional heats and hopefully to the grand final.”

The competition’s regional events will now take place virtually in the autumn, while the Supreme Award winners will be announced in January 2021.
