Beauty for Heroes - gift voucher

A Nantwich beauty therapist has joined the national “Beauty for Heroes” movement and offering COVID-19 key workers treatments at her salon.

Hannah Bradburn, who lives in Nantwich with her partner and three-year-old son, wanted to give something back to those on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic.

And she already has hundreds lined up to benefit once the pandemic is under control and lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Hannah, who works from her salon at home, said: “I decided to join in with the move but instead of offering it to just the local hospital I opened it up to any key worker from NHS staff to supermarket staff, delivery staff, cleansers, teachers etc.

HMB Beauty in Nantwich“I’m asking via Facebook for people to message or comment where their place of work is so I can have all the information delivered. We have 25 places currently on the list.”

When Hannah is allowed to open again, she will be posting set times and days to offer the free treatments for key workers for up to three months after lockdown ends.

“I’m aware not all will attend so my plan is to just manage everything after lock down is over,” she added.

“Leighton Hospital have had their voucher and someone is electronically sending it to everyone.

“People just need to bring proof of them working during lock down to save printing the voucher and saving paper.

“I think it’s so important to give back as you never know when you’ll need the help and its good for the community to feel appreciated.

“Everyone is working so hard especially in the pandemic and hopefully a free treatment may just make them feel appreciated.”

Hannah has also sent out posters to be displayed at the bus depot and supermarkets as well as care homes for care workers, police, fire stations, train stations, and stores like Chatwins and Boot.

Key workers can benefit from a number of different treatments, including a Luxury Facial (worth £33), Luxury Manicure (worth £22), Luxury Pedicure (worth £22), Back Massage or Back and Leg Massage (worth between £10 – £15).

Hannah has also set up a Facebook for people and other businesses to donate items or gifts for key workers.

“People will be happy with the gesture, it doesn’t need to cost a fortune just something nice even a money off voucher would I’m sure be appreciated,” she added.

Anyone who wants t donate or wants more information can message Hannah on her HMB Beauty Facebook page or email [email protected]
