kipbags for homeless people

A Nantwich businessman has pitched in to help a charity hand out essential kipbags to homeless people during the pandemic.

Wes Heraty, of marketing firm JamButty Ltd based in Stapeley, stepped to help deliver more than 20 “Kipbags” to charity Haircuts 4 Homeless in Manchester.

The bags have been put together by Staffordshire-based charity Kipbag – A Bag for Life.

They contain vital supplies to help homeless people on the streets keep warm, safe and healthy.

Mr Heraty said: “We just wanted to do our bit, but the real heroes are Kipbag and Haircuts 4 Homeless.”

The bags contain a sleeping bag, toiletries, warm clothing and other essentials that are donated and then distributed to rough sleepers across the country.

The charity teamed up with the Duchess of York, as part of her Sarah’s Trust initiative, to produce a staggering 500 Kipbags to distribute around the country.

And with the help of big-hearted donors and helpers around the country, they managed to pull together the bags and set up a network of distributors – all people who volunteered their time.

A spokesman for Kipbag said: “Thanks to much to Wes who volunteered to deliver them to H4H in Manchester.”
