Community groups and causes in and around Nantwich have been urged to apply for a share of Redrow’s £5,000 community fund.

Eight groups and projects in the area benefited from the first round of community funding from the developer which is building homes at the Kingsbourne development in Nantwich.

Those groups included Wingate Children’s Centre, Inner Trust Community Project and Wrenbury Pre-School.

Anna Evans-Kerr, head of sales at Redrow Homes (NW), said: “We are very pleased to invite more good causes to apply for a share of further community funding for the Nantwich area.

“We have previously helped very deserving groups who work hard to improve the lives of people in the area including Inner Trust Community Project, Apex Cheer Nantwich, Wrenbury Pre-School and The Wingate Children’s Special Trust.

“The idea of the community fund is to support small projects at the heart of local life by making a number of small grants that can potentially make a big difference.

“It’s all part of our commitment to creating thriving, sustainable communities where people love to live.”

Redrow says it has injected more than £2.5 million into the area surrounding Nantwich, including improvements to the local primary and secondary schools and highways.

There is allocation for a new community hub within the Kingsbourne development, including a commercial unit with shops and services.

Those wishing to nominate a project for consideration can download the application form here www.redrow.co.uk/kingsbournecommunityfund2020

The deadline for completed applications is midnight on Friday, September 4.
