Shop Today - cheerbrook

Nantwich’s popular farm shop Cheerbrook is celebrating 21 years in business.

Staff are preparing a series of events to mark the anniversary, 21 years on since owner Andrew Shufflebotham first took a step into the unknown.

Andrew, who lost his battle with cancer last year, originally opened to offer local produce and his own reared beef.

More than two decades on his passion for great, local food, is still at the heart of Cheerbrook – now with butchery, bakery, deli, farm shop and café.

Throughout September, Cheerbrook is celebrating with a competition for local school children to design our birthday cake, chances to win a ‘Golden Ticket’ in store & sharing stories of our colleagues, local suppliers and Cheerbrook history.

Celebrations will be topped off with a weekend of fun, fabulous food and celebration from October 1-3.

A Cheerbrook spokeswoman said: “From our fabulous customers to local suppliers, charities and our colleagues, our local community is at the very heart of Cheerbrook.

“We’re proud to support local producers, from those who have stocked our shelves for 21 years including Buckley’s Bees and Garnett’s Turkeys, to start up companies taking their own leap into the unknown such as Therapy & Scent & Traction Cider.

“Our team are the life of Cheerbrook, making, baking and serving each and every Cheerbrook product.

“We’ve worked with hundreds of local people over our 21 years, many of whom took on their first Saturday job with us.

“Bringing their ideas, passion & experience, Cheerbrook would not be what it is today without each & every one of our team.

“Throughout our 21st year we’re raising funds for Nantwich District Nurses (via Mid Cheshire Hospitals Trust), a charity very close to our hearts here at Cheerbrook.

“Each year we support a different local charity, including Bloodwise, Team Lewis Trust and CSI Basics, through our 10p carrier bags and events such as our Christmas Tasting Evening.”
