NWF Agriculture strengthens partnership with Reaseheath College

NWF Agriculture based near Nantwich is helping Reaseheath College with an innovative project using “radar sensors” in feed silos.

The company, based in Wardle, supplies livestock farmers across the UK with feeds, products, innovative services and technical offerings.

As part of an ongoing partnership with Reaseheath Agricultural College, NWF has installed advanced radar sensors in the college’s feed storage silos.

The sensors will provide accurate and live measurable data of the feed silo capacity.

It aims to save time and increase safety of those working with silos.

Robert Fuller of NWF Agriculture, said: “The installation of these radar sensors, not only improves the safety of those working with the feed silos but by having accurate data about the silo levels, it can reduce safety stock which in turn frees up money that could be tied up in inventory.

“The radar can also detect any build-up on the outer walls of the silo, which may have previously been unaccounted for.”
