Staff at coffee shop Tilly’s of Bunbury are celebrating a double success.
The independent village café, owned by local residents Paula and Andy Robinson, has received two prestigious honours.
It received two accolades at the SME News UK Enterprise Awards 2026, being crowned Village Café & Coffee Shop of the Year – Cheshire and receiving the Community-Focused Café Experience Excellence Award.
Paula said: “We don’t just work in Bunbury – we live here too.
“We’re incredibly proud to be part of such a wonderful village community, so to receive recognition like this means a great deal to us.
“These awards belong as much to our customers, neighbours and supporters as they do to us.”
Since taking over Tilly’s in August 2024, Paula and Andy have worked to create more than just a café.
They wanted to provide a welcoming space where people can meet, connect and feel part of the community while enjoying freshly prepared food, homemade cakes and speciality coffee.
It has become a hub for a range of community activities, including business networking events, local artist showcases, live music evenings, charity initiatives, cycling group meet-ups and the weekly Chatty Cafe table.
Andy Robinson said: “These awards are a reflection of the fantastic team we have around us and the incredible support we receive from local residents and visitors alike.
“We have always believed that a village café should be about more than serving great food and coffee.
“It should be a place where people feel welcome, where friendships are made and where the community comes together.”
Tilly’s also supports local suppliers wherever possible.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to live and work in Bunbury,” added Paula.
“The support we’ve received since opening has been amazing and we’re excited to continue building something special for the village and the wider community.”
